Frerstorn Bottom Station
Quick points of goals: - One stop capital hub - One stop 0.0 logistics hub - Provide goods to the local Faction Warfare participants - Connect Investors, Retailers, Manufactures and Jump Freighter pilots seeking opportunity.
Capital Hub/Logistics It is an enormous hassle to fly around and collect capital modules and fighters/fighter bombers because of their massive size. There's enormous potential in eliminating this headache, and we should be able to clear several combat ready capitals, fully fit and fueled, at any given time. We should also focus on making 0.0 logistics easier by placing buy orders for ice/ore for Rorquals/JFs. The goal here is for 0.0 alliances to be able to jump in, quickly buy/sell what they need and move back out without dealing with carting the goods to high sec.
Faction War / Pirate Customers The locals in the area know how to handle themselves and will have no problem using this station as their market hub. The Amarr militia in particular currently has the problem of not really having a market hub nearby. While this isn't perfect because its behind the Minmatar front lines, its still better than facing the NPC faction police in other nearby hubs. So many destroyers, cruisers, and battle cruisers have sold from Frerstorn that we can't really keep it stocked. Where: Frerstorn VII û Moon 1 û Ishukone Corporation Factory This station was chosen because it has a large bump radius, and is safe to bring capitals in and out of as any station can be. Its a bit off the beaten path as far as access to 0.0 goes so as to not play any favorites with nullsec politics. All services are available at this station, including cloning. Frerstorn currently has 200 manufacturing slots, all currently open.
The situation around Metropolis low sec is not pretty - it is surrounded by some of the most violent pirate corps around. The route from Resbroko to Hek is often camped, as is the route to Rens through Amamake. Avenod to Dodixie is not camped, but if traffic picks up it very well could be. On the bright side, if the militia is in local you can be safer than if you were in high sec. Experienced pilots know many ways to get through and around gate camps, and most (including me) would be glad to let you know some tips/tricks.
Remember: for a low sec hub to be successful we all need to focus on one station. The bottom station - Frerstorn VII û Moon 1 û Ishukone Corporation Factory. Typing ôfrerö into your auto link will bring up the correct system.
Where to start: If you have products you want to sell, toss them into a blockade runner or a courier contract and bring them on down. If you are looking for business partners, post an ad here. Examples: ôInvestor looking for Investment Corporation.ö ôBuilder seeking Investorsö ôJump Freighter Pilot For Hireö
Once again: Frer û bottom station.

You got the wrong impression if you think this is specifically for the Amarr militia. This is a spot that is easily accessible from the East, South and West. We are opening a supply chain to major resources. In doing so we do plan to provide goods to the faction war participants. I have talked with some of your more aggressive comrades in the Amarr militia who believe that being able to resupply in Minmatar space without having to go into high sec or fall back to Amarr high sec would be to the Amarr advantage. Really that point could be argued either way.
What we are not going to do is open up a hub that favors anyone to the point of cutting entire groups of people off, this is why Frerstorn was chosen.

Edited by: Diesel Grip on 30/07/2010 18:12:17 I put a lot into the market there and you can barely see it. It takes a lot to get something like this rolling.
Ammo, drones, rigs, ships, pretty much everything. Till the capitals get moving through here on a regular basis, small-medium modules and drones are a safe bet. You won't see a lot of battleships running around here.
Id like to mention that it is currently in the stocking the shelves stage. I wouldn't expect to be open for business for several weeks to a couple months.

Claire, I am not building them personally. I have been in contact with builders over the last few months and have been providing financial aid to some builders who have needed it. The people I know who are building them are not building them in system, they are jumping them in after they are built. Carriers should be showing up on the market in the next few weeks. I am unaware if there are any dreads making their way here. However, I encourage everyone to bring their ships here to sell.

Sorry but this is not for that kind of attitude. If you learn the land and ROE, we would be glad to have you bring your products down and give us some competition, but I really don't want to feed a bunch of people who don't know how to survive to the local pirates. Metropolis low sec is NBSI, and that is the way it will stay. If this is your way of asking how you can run logistics safely, well... don't be afraid to ask. Low sec is 100% safe if you know what you are doing. It is only dangerous for those who don't.
I would not suggest investing into typical mission runner gear. The mission runners in the area are with the faction war, and they do things different than the high sec type.

Edited by: Diesel Grip on 01/08/2010 01:06:18 Sorry about that, I was screwing with these guys in Dodixie who were inviting people to fleet and trying to warp them off to Recon 3/3... Nailed em for 3 mil
I reset it to 1 ISK, so evemail is fine.

Update: Ive been working my butt off to get this station "stocked" but I cant keep up. The faction modules I thought would be good for carriers (heavy nutes) are not doing as well as I was hoping. Sadly I have been too busy to even try to get into stocking drones or restocking the hot selling T2 frigs that were cleaned off the market quickly.
Of the 3 caps that I know are in the oven right now only 1 hasn't already been sold, an Archon. Some of the dread guns have been restocked and the rest are on the way, along with XL ammo. Jump fuel was restocked.
Everything is going pretty good, and thanks to everyone who brought their business to Frerstorn!
Side note: I've gotten myself into an Ark so I am now available for contract as a jump freighter pilot.

As long as I keep ships on the market, everything moves. When I run low on ships to sell, it gets pretty stale. So far the most difficult part here is keeping enough ships on the market.

Originally by: Grozen the danger to the freighter pilot is much more bigger then the actuall profit that hes supposed to make personally my opinion is that this one big fail.
Three months since the first post here and even longer before that is when this started. I have taken no losses. I think you need to take your afk mining/autopilot in high sec attitude to a different thread. This is for competent pilots only.

Originally by: Ash Donai He probably means that the risk of jumping the freighter in is high, though personally I think it's easy to minimize that.
I am curious though, the system you choose seems out of the way to me, were you able to make enough profit since you started to recoup the JF cost?
If you know what you are doing, your JF is at zero risk. If you do something stupid, then the risk goes up. You should always count on your cyno ship dieing, and when it doesn't, you count it as a freebie. If anyone is not sure about how to pilot your JF through low sec, I would be glad to instruct you how.
I don't think have earned enough profit to pay off the JF yet. I have earned a lot more than would have if I took my goods to a market hub and got .01 isked within seconds of putting my goods up for sale. If you have the time to .01 isk your way through the day, then this is not your best route to make money.

Edited by: Diesel Grip on 25/10/2010 19:04:05 There is a chat channel up "Frerstorn Retail" for people to jump into so we can coordinate a little better.
Also, I've started using Eve Gate so I can communicate and get things coordinated more frequently.

Things are starting to move fairly frequently now. I decided to try to get a better look at what we have stocked, we have come a long way:
But we still have a long way to go. I brought in a bunch of dread ammo, its all gone. We are fairly well stocked and are getting a little quicker to restock. A lot of people are buying us completely out of ships, I can only assume because they are worried that we wont be able to restock them?
So things are looking good to date.

We have most of the basics stocked up now, still lots of room for more though.
At this point we are looking into how to improve awareness of this market.

Dec 7, 1941 - Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. Dec 7, 2010 - Random guy on the internet attacks the Frerstorn low end market.
Coincidence? or is someone in Hek trying to provoke a war?
I will keep the condors coming mr random alt guy!

He tried to go after the cruisers, but seems to have run short on isk to finish what he started. We have items that we sell, and some that we keep stocked. He doesn't seem to have the wight to mess with the items we sell.
I am kinda surprised we didn't have armor hardeners in such great volumes he wouldn't dare touch them. So hardeners will now be on the items we sell list.

Originally by: Static Scream I want to buy an Archon, and fit it up, and it would be really nice if everything was at one station, because otherwise the logistics are too much of a hassle of moving the capital mods around, so I am prepared to pay a bit extra to pick up everything in one shop...
The last capital that wasnt sold before it hit the market, sold within hours of me listing it. Its rough keeping them stocked.
Best I know there is a Thanatos, Niddy and Archon in the works right now. You should probably find an Archon elsewhere if you need it soon. The fighters and faction mods are around, either in hangars or in the staging area.

Carebears: Don't come yelling at me if you get blown up. If you know how not to get blown up, then yes you can make money here.
Lex Fasces - there is definitely a market for sub cap mods. Just keep in mind it is very easy going market wise, it wont move fast.

FAQ's Q: Is this still going on? A: Yes
Q: What should I bring to sell? A: What ever you want really. (truth is if there is a good margin on it, and it moves I'm selling it myself)
---------------
Side notes: So far in the last nine months I haven't heard of any of our market players losing any market hauls, but the area has become more "dangerous".
Groups like Eve University fly through frequently but never stop to do business where as I see a lot of business from solo and small gang players.

Today I sadly close the doors. To those who came to Frerstorn to resupply, it was a pleasure doing business with you.
